The brand new Copa GL Pro IC is the latest goalkeeper glove development from adidas. With a latex backhand, URG 2.0 covering, stretch strap and inseam cut, the new Copa goalkeeper glove combines the best features of a top glove.

Palm

• URG 2.0: The covering consists of 3.5 mm extremely soft foam and an additional cushioning layer. This leads to outstanding impact absorption. The very high grip in all weather conditions combined with an even improved durability make this adhesive foam a perfect choice for all ambitious goalkeepers.

Cut

• Negative cut: The negative cut (inside seam) ensures a tight and comfortable fit on the fingers. The goalkeeper gets a perfect fit and an optimal feel for the ball. 80% of adidas professional goalkeepers play with this cut.
• Abrasion Zone: In the zone where the wear is greatest (on the outside of the glove) there is an abrasion-resistant coating. Here the material is subjected to the most stress when falling and standing up. The abrasion zone extends to the backhand and offers an additional grip surface. At the same time, it is very abrasion-resistant and thus extends the lifespan of the gloves.

Backhand

• Embossed latex for high wearing comfort and optimal grip when fisting
• Mechano material: The Mechano material of the glove body impresses with its durability. The very robust material is very lightweight and gives the goalkeeper additional security. The Mechano material is also very elastic and adapts optimally to all deformations of the goalkeeper glove.

Closure

• Stretch strap with latex field: This strap, which is wrapped twice around the wrist, offers outstanding stabilization properties and also a perfect, individual and precise fixation on the wrist. This lightweight construction further increases the flexibility of the glove. The latex field of the strap on the top of the wrist ensures further stabilization of the wrist.
• Close-fitting bandage: Without unnecessary seams and without annoying interference, the innovative application ensures a problem-free and individually adapted entry. With easy entry, no tearing or tugging is necessary, which makes everyday use of the top glove much easier.
• Bandage made of Mechano material completely integrated into the glove body for a high level of comfort, a good and tight fit and very high flexibility

• Wrap on the thumb: The adhesive foam is pulled from the inside of the thumb to the back of the hand. This creates a very pronounced all-round grip on the thumb and also increases the stability of the glove in the thumb area.
