The best goalkeepers in the world like Roman Bürki (Borussia Dortmund), Thibaut Courtois (Belgium and best goalkeeper), Jordan Pickford (number 1 England), Alisson Becker (number 1 Brazil and Liverpool), Joe Hart (West Ham United), Ederson (Manchester City), Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) and many other international top goalkeepers swear by the high-quality goalkeeper gloves from NIKE.
The innovative NIKE Mercurial Touch Elite, which will be available from torwart.de in time for the World Cup in May, will significantly change the classic design of goalkeeper gloves. All superfluous elements of the goalkeeper glove have been removed. So the Mercurial Touch Elite was developed on a completely new basis and could adapt the glove to the new, fast-paced and modern goalkeeper game. The result of this development process is a glove which, despite its simple appearance, contains everything a performance-oriented goalkeeper needs in all levels of modern football. The minimalist aesthetic of the glove is the result of a 66% reduction in the other components of traditional gloves. And thanks to the removal of excess padding on the backhand, the Mercurial Touch Elite 33 percent lighter and 47 percent thinner. Attached punch prints on the third and fourth knuckles provide even more flexibility. The application is even closer to the fingers for maximum control.
Catching surface
- New 4 millimeter contact foam for optimal grip in dry and wet condition: Advanced 4 millimeter contact adhesive foam with integrated damping lamination for impact absorption and NIKE ACC technology (All-Conditions Control).
The Nike All Conditions Control Technology ensures that ball control is not lost in wet conditions. By a special treatment of the goalkeeper glove material it was possible to create the same friction between the goalkeeper glove and the ball in wet conditions as is created in dry conditions. The material is therefore immune to external climatic conditions. Thus the goalkeeper has optimal ball control in any weather situation. The rubber offers optimum grip in dry and wet conditions and creates even more direct contact with the glove for the goalkeeper. From the closure to the fingertips, the glove is covered with the new "sticky grip" and offers top performance for the goalkeeper.
Cut
- Innovative NC cut: The glove is sewn from the left in this cut that lies close to the fingers. The seam also runs along the edges of the fingers, but is not on the outside of the glove, but points inwards. An advantage for all goalkeepers who like it when the glove lies even closer to the fingers to create an optimal wearing comfort. The fit becomes tighter and ball control increases. The cut is also often referred to as a "negative cut", as the seams are not visible from the outside.
Tophand
- The perforated backhand offers optimal air circulation and therefore extremely comfortable to wear.
Closure
- The closure has been replaced by a flexible Wrist Cuff that extends from the wrist to the upper end of the forearm. This provides even more mobility and comfort. It is a widened, fully circumferential closure that does not slip and adapts perfectly to each wrist. The bandage provides additional wrist support and protection and optimizes fit and comfort for the goalkeeper. Without any seams, the closure merges into the main construction of the glove.
