The best goalkeepers in the world like Roman Bürki (Borussia Dortmund), Thibaut Courtois (Belgium/Real Madrid), Alisson Becker (Brazil/Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City) and many other international top goalkeepers swear by the high quality goalkeeper gloves from NIKE.
The innovative NIKE Mercurial Touch Elite significantly changes the previous classic design of goalkeeper gloves. All superfluous elements of the goalkeeper glove have been removed. So the Mercurial Touch Elite was developed on a completely new basis and the glove could adapt to the new, fast and modern goalkeeper game. The result of this development process is a glove which, despite its simple appearance, contains everything a performance-oriented goalkeeper needs at all levels of modern football.
The glove's minimalist aesthetic is the result of a 66% reduction in the other components of traditional gloves. And thanks to the removal of excess padding on the backhand, the Mercurial Touch Elite is 33 percent lighter and 47 percent thinner. Punch-prints on the third and fourth finger knuckles provide even more flexibility. The application is even closer to the fingers for maximum control.
Palm/Foam
- New 4 millimetre contact foam for optimum grip in dry and wet conditions: further developed 4 millimetre contact foam with integrated damping lamination for impact absorption and NIKE ACC technology (All-Conditions Control).
Nike's All Conditions Control technology ensures that ball control is not lost in wet conditions. A special treatment of the goalkeeper glove material has managed to create the same friction between the goalkeeper glove and the ball in wet conditions as in dry conditions. The material is therefore immune to external climatic conditions. Therefore, the goalkeeper has optimal ball control in any weather situation. The surface offers optimum grip in dry and wet conditions and creates an even more direct connection between the goalkeeper and the glove. From the closure to the fingertips the glove is covered with the new "sticky grip" and offers top performance for the goalkeeper.
Cut
- Innovative NC cut: With this cut, which is close to the fingers, the glove is sewn from the left. The seam also runs along the edges of the fingers, but does not lie on the outside of the glove, but faces inwards. An advantage for all goalkeepers who like it if the glove lies even closer to the fingers in order to create an optimal wearing comfort. The fit becomes tighter and the ball control increases. The cut is also often called "negative cut" because the seams are not visible on the outside.
Backhand
- The perforated backhand offers optimal air circulation and thus an extremely pleasant wearing comfort.
Closure
- The closure has been replaced by a flexible Wrist Cuff, which extends from the wrist to the upper end of the forearm. This provides even more mobility and comfort. It is a widened, fully circumferential closure that does not slip and adapts perfectly to any wrist. The bandage provides additional support and protection for the wrist and optimizes fit and comfort for the goalkeeper. Without any seams, the closure merges into the main construction of the glove.
- Please note: Due to the special construction of the closure system, the glove should be put on two or three times before the first use, as it is very difficult to get into the glove at first.
