Dominance begins with the goalkeeper
by Sebastian Mundruc
The "one against one" (1gg1) is one of the most extreme situations a goalkeeper faces. It involves complex demands on the goalkeeper and requires early training of specific skills to successfully master this situation. The fact that there is still a lot of catching up to do, however, is statistically reflected in a too large error frequency in these game situations. For this reason the training of such situations should be a basic building block in every goalkeeper training.
Our goal is to open a new dimension of the goalkeeper game to you. The goalkeeper's behaviour in direct one against one is extremely important for a high standing and aggressively defending team. After we have listed these possibilities, their characteristics, chances and risks for you, we develop a new requirement profile for the goalkeeper, which is reflected in new training contents. Last but not least, we suggest some practical training forms.
The second eBook is aimed at all goalkeeper trainers of all ages and performance levels who want to set new impulses in daily training. Theory plus a multitude of practical graphics illustrate the idea, chances and solutions in playing with and against the ball. The goalkeeper plays a central role. By exercise and play forms innumerable variations can be created into the daily work by the circle class up to the federal league. By Sebastian Mundrucs adviser activity with the federation of German football teachers its interest and its enthusiasm were waked to make goalkeeper-specific training contents accessible also for goal keeper coaches and head coaches in all associations. Also after the large resonance of the first eBooks: Goal keeper chain its interest was strengthened.
