After the predecessor book ("Hold!") from the year 2001 had clearly aged despite a revision in 2009, Peter Greiber decided to revise the important topic in the usual structure, but taking into account the changes in the task profile of modern goalkeepers. After all, the "goalkeeper" of the past has now become a goalkeeper playing along, who on the one hand frequently stops enemy attacks outside his penalty area and on the other hand is included in the game of his opponents as a starting point in the press actions of the opponent.
After the detailed description of the goalkeeper technique and tactics, around 200 exercise forms take into account the common requirements of the individual age groups (from U10), but where necessary also the special ones. Even without special experience in the training of goalkeepers, this new manual can be used to design training units that systematically improve goalkeepers of all ages.
