With the new adidas X GL League IC, adidas has turned traditional glove construction on its head. With this new development, a second line of gloves was created alongside the Predator, which reflects the requirements of the modern game.
Minimalism

The glove construction mirrors the natural position of the hand and reduces reaction time by facilitating the goaltender's ready position.
Ultra Lightweight
The minimalist construction and ultra-lightweight material means the League glove is 38 grams lighter than the Predator League. This makes it easier to react quickly in any situation.
Palm:
- URG 3.0S: The newly developed adhesive foam combines excellent grip, cushioning and good durability. The URG 3.0S stands for speed and is lighter than the well-known URG 3.0. It offers improved ball feel in the fingertips. This sticky foam is recommended for match and training use on all surfaces and in all conditions.
Cut:
- Negative Cut: Delivers an extremely tight and secure fit over the entire fingers. In combination with the thinner URG 3.0S latex palm and the rounded layers, the glove offers excellent ball feel and high control.
- Reverse Stitch Rounded Gusset: The rounded gussets combine adhesive foam and backhand into a perfect unit.
Backhand:
- Light mesh backhand: Makes the glove light, flexible and offers high wearing comfort.
Closure:
- Bandage without strap: The elastic bandage at the entrance offers a secure and extremely comfortable fit on the wrist.
- Speedlock: The innovative Speedlock construction gives the feeling of a perfect closure around the wrist.
